When on vacation, especially in a historic place like Salzburg, we preferred to start early so that we can explore as many places as we can and also avoid long queues on the tourist attractions. So our breakfast mainly included fruits, nuts and energy bars.
Below is the list of restaurants we visited for lunch and dinner.
Lunch @ Spicy Spices
Address: Wolf-Dietrich-Straße 1, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
Phone: +43 662 870712
Located near our hostel was the vegetarian restaurant Spicy Spices. The entrance of the restaurant reminded me of an Indian grocery store where you can buy a variety of items.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was great and the food was delicious.
What we had: chickpeas curry with rice, samosa, and soya milk tea. (vegan)
Dinner @ BioBurgerMeister
Address: Linzer G. 54, 5020 Salzburg, Austria
Phone: +43 662 265101
BioBurgerMeister is a small cozy cafe style restaurant with multiple vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. All the burgers were freshly prepared using fresh, healthy and organic ingredients. Personally, I felt that the burger bun was a bit hard to chew, but the overall taste was excellent.
What we had: bio green burger (Vegan)
Lunch @ Hallein – Salt Mines – Salzwelten cafe
Address: Ramsaustraße 3, 5422 Hallein, Austria
Phone: +43 6132 2002400
We had our day two brunch at Salzwelten cafe after we finished our Hallein salt mine tour at 11:00 Am. The warm yummy soups and fries were the few vegetarian options available at the cafe.
What we had: vegetable clear soup, tomato soup, french-fries. (vegan)
Dinner @ Indian Restaurant Taj Mahal
Address: Bayerhamerstraße 13, 5020 Salzburg, Austria

On our last day in Salzburg we visited Indian Restaurant Taj Mahal which was fully booked, with a long waiting list, but luckily we were able to order a takeaway. The entire restaurant was beautifully decorated in vibrant colors and the atmosphere was very festive.
What we had: vegetable biryani, paneer pakora, and papadum. (vegetarian)
Salzburg Christmas market offered a variety of snacks options and we tried a few on our trip to the place
What we had: blueberry crepe (vegan) and nut pretzel. (vegetarian)
